Start With How You Use the Kitchen
Before anyone talks about cabinet colors, we ask how the room works for you. Where does the prep happen? Where do groceries land? Who sits at the counter while you cook? Is the problem storage, light, flow or all three?
Many homes around Canonsburg, Washington and the South Hills were built with closed-off kitchens, galley layouts or soffits that eat cabinet space. Opening a wall is a common request. We find out whether the wall is load-bearing and what runs through it, and if a beam is needed we plan it with the right permits.
Then we put the plan on paper: a layout, a list of selections and a written scope, so you know what you’re getting before demolition starts.

Everything That Goes Into a Kitchen Remodel
Layout & Design
Workflow, storage and seating planned around how you cook, with drawings to review before work begins.
Cabinets
New stock or semi-custom cabinetry, or refacing when the boxes are sound and the layout already works.
Countertops
Quartz, granite, solid surface or laminate, templated after the cabinets are set so the fit is exact.
Backsplash & Tile
Tile backsplashes and tile floors, with the substrate prepared properly underneath.
Flooring
Luxury vinyl plank, tile or hardwood, carried into adjoining rooms when you want one continuous floor.
Plumbing & Electrical
Sink and appliance moves, dedicated circuits, under-cabinet and recessed lighting, coordinated with licensed trades.
Windows & Doors
Replacement windows over the sink or a new patio door to the deck.
Drywall, Trim & Paint
Wall and ceiling repairs, new trim and paint so the room looks finished, not patched.

Kitchens Inside Whole-Home Renovations
A lot of our kitchen work happens as part of a larger project, such as a kitchen plus a bathroom, or a kitchen plus new flooring through the first floor. Keeping it under one contract means one team handles the sequencing, and the new floor runs under the new cabinets instead of being patched around them. Learn more about our whole-home renovation work.
Recent examples, described without client details: a Cranberry Township kitchen renovation with 3D design renderings, plumbing repairs and a roof replacement (2024); a Pittsburgh kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation and new deck under one contract (2025); and a Venetia project with new cabinets, countertops and flooring throughout (2025).

Planning a Kitchen Budget Without Surprises
Cabinets and countertops usually make up the largest share of a kitchen budget, followed by labor, flooring, appliances and fixtures. We price each part separately so you can see where the money goes and where a different choice would change the total.
Older homes can hide water damage under the sink, uneven floor framing or wiring that needs updating once walls are open. If we find something like that, we show you, price the repair in writing and go ahead only with your approval. Allowances for items you haven’t picked yet are labeled clearly in the proposal.
Financing is available for kitchen remodels. Ask about it during your free estimate. Manufacturer warranties apply per each manufacturer’s terms, and our workmanship is warrantied as set out in your written contract.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
It depends on the scope and on material lead times, especially cabinets. We give you a written schedule once selections are made and schedule demolition after materials are confirmed.
Can I use my kitchen during the remodel?
Not during the main construction phase, but we can help you set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house and keep that phase as short as possible.
Do you reface cabinets or only replace them?
Both. If the cabinet boxes are sound and the layout works, refacing can be a good option. We’ll tell you honestly which makes sense.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We pull the permits your municipality requires for structural, plumbing and electrical work and schedule the inspections.
Do you charge for kitchen estimates?
No. Every kitchen project starts with a free estimate. Call (412) 498-4299.
